Insider's Guide to Dyfi Forest

Dyfi Forest

The Dyfi Forest is now well established as one of the hottest spots for MTB in the UK.

With miles and miles (and miles!) of unmarked and hidden trails you’ll need a guide to get the best out of it.

Let us take you on a journey into the depths of the forest, where we’ll show you the trails you never dreamed existed. From slate infested gulleys, to steep loamy goodness, with views across the forests to the mountain ranges of Cadair Idrs and Pumlumon, the Dyfi Forest has it all to offer.

You’ll learn how to make sense of the vastness of the forest, how to get to the sections you love, and figure out the escape routes for when it all goes a bit pear-shaped.

With loads of local knowledge and some Welsh language thrown in too, this ride will get you feeling like a local in no time!

Your guide (Steve Beech) has been riding (and getting lost) in the Dyfi for over 25 years, guiding (British Cycling Level 3) for over 15 years, and leads regular club rides and coaching sessions in the woods. He knows the place like the back of his hand!

Ability-wise – you’ll need to be comfortable riding red graded trails and happy riding all day (there’s plenty of downs and a few good long ups!). The rides typically last about 5 hours and can be tailored to suit your group’s ability.

8 places available in total @ £40 per rider (minimum 2 riders – currently from a single household or bubble)
